Sustainable Melrose at the Market

Sustainable Melrose is a consortium of sustainably focused groups for energy, farming, gardening, and parks preservation.

Joining us at the Marking July 31:

Ell Pond Improvement Council:Advocates for the ecological restoration of Ell Pond and its surrounding parklands.

Friends of the Middlesex Fells: Helps to protect and preserve the natural, historic, and recreational resources of the 3,400 acre Fells.

Go Solar Melrose & EnergySage: This program is designed for residents, businesses and nonprofits to compare quotes apples-to-apples from multiple solar installers.

Grow Native MA: Advocates for sound land stewardship, the planting of gardens with an emphasis on native plants, and the identification and removal of non-native species.

Melrose Energy Commission: A group of Melrose citizens who are volunteering their time to help the city and its residents save energy.

Melrose Recycling Committee: Provides advisory and support services to the city with the aim of reducing our waste, increasing recycling, and educating the public.

Also, Carol Nelson will bring her paper dress made from trash scraps and will be making another one by bringing trash and working alongside the Recycling Committee.
