Market Opening Day, June 6

On June 6, between 2pm-7pm, please join us for a festive day and support your local farmers and market! We have new vendors, more prepared food options, live music, kids activities, and the same wonderful vendors you love. Here are the vendors you can expect on June 6:

Ackermann Maple Farm-First generation, family owned maple syrup producers from the hills of Cabot, Vermont. They practice sustainability in everything they do, from packaging in glass bottles, to boiling sap using wood (instead of oil).
Bagel Land-wholesome all natural fresh baked good with organic options as well as gluten free choices 
Boston Smoked Fish Co.– produces the highest quality smoked fish available using sustainably harvested fish, locally sourced ingredients, and all natural preparation. Hot Smoked Salmon, Haddock, Bluefish and Steelhead Trout, Cold Smoked Nova Lox, and Smoked Fish Patè’s. 
Deano’s Pasta-fourth generation local pasta makers in Somerville, MA making artisan noodles, raviolis, and sauces since 1947. Pastas and sauces are all natural, non-gmo, locally handcrafted and hand packed to assure the highest quality. CASH ONLY
Dick’s Market Garden-Dick’s Market Garden consists of over 200 acres of active fields and orchards in picturesque Lunenburg, MA. Dick’s grows over 95 percent all of the fruits and vegetables that you find at the farmer’s market. Tons of varieties and assortments of veggies. 
Fabian’s European Pastries– A local favorite! Fresh baked cookies with a Dutch twist, made local ! right here in Melrose
Fixx Chocolates-Handmade from Salem, MA. Fixx Chocolates makes chocolate bars and other confections similar to those you grew up with and using natural ingredients. You can also find their chocolates at Buckalew’s! 
Fork on A Road-Vegetarian and vegan Market Day Meal Kits, inspired by the local harvest and Suman’s global pantry that include ingredients sourced direct from local producers and our market vendors. Plus her homemade spice blends, unique chutneys and snacks.
Koshari Mama-Your lunch is covered! Koshari is a lentil rice pasta dish topped with fried onions, chickpeas and sauces. AMAZING
Moonlight Farm–  A small family farm committed to raising animals with the utmost humanity and respect, allowing them to live fulfilling, meaningful lives. They do not use hormones, antibiotics or steroids in their animals. Growing method is coined, “off ‘cides,” because they don’t use any pesticides, herbicides or fungicides on their veggies. You can find off ‘Cides (no spray) Veggies, Pasture-Raised Eggs, Grass Fed Beef,* Pasture Raised, non-GMO Pork,* Chicken* and Turkey* -* indicates new for 2019!

Oakdale Farm-Our winter farmer now joining us for the summer. We are so happy to be welcoming Oakdale Farm to our group of farmers. Their produce is farmed organically. Oakdale Farms is a 6th generation working horticulture and chicken farm in Rehoboth, Dighton, and Seekonk. The farm produces food for the local community through venues such as farmers markets, CSA farm shares, and food hubs. Oakdale Farms practices safe and environmentally friendly farming. Please stop by and check them out! 
Recreo Coffee & Roasterie-Dedicated to bringing you premium Nicaraguan coffee while practicing social and environmental stewardship. Single origin coffee is grown at their family farm in Jinotega, Nicaragua. They harvest and produce their coffee with the highest of standards. Rainforest Alliance Certified, and practice direct trade importation and practice ethical and environmental responsibility. They will be selling locally roasted coffee beans every other week. Check them out! 
Roberto’s Seafood-fresh fish picked up that morning and sold to you at a great price. Another market favorite! Literally the freshest fish!
Seven Hills Pasta– Locally made dried pasta from Melrose and homemade tomato sauces straight from their farm in Rutland. Now serving Organic Pasta!
Shady Pine Farm- Practicing organic methods, Grass fed meats and free range poultry and eggs. Check out their meat CSA.
Smith’s Country Cheese-Mass made Gouda, Havarti, and Cheddar cheeses. A market favorite and here once a month! 
The Bread Shop-locally made, small artisan bakery specializing in breads and morning pastry. SO GOOD
The Popover Lady– local bakery specializing in popovers and other baked goods.

Ancient Fire Henna– natural, artisanal henna adornment from henna artist Maria O’Connor. 
Fire Garden Pottery– Beautifully created high fire stoneware pottery to use and enjoy.
Jannabis Wellness– Janice Newell Bissex is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, cookbook author, speaker, and Holistic Cannabis Practitioner. Janice’s mission is to help others suffering from chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, autoimmune diseases, IBD/IBS, and other debilitating conditions find relief using cannabis and CBD. She completed training at the Holistic Cannabis Academy, and now advises clients on access, proper cannabinoid ratios, dosing, best consumption methods, and cooking with cannabis at Jannabis Wellness. She partnered with a Colorado manufacturer of organically-grown medical grade hemp to provide phytocannabinoid-rich hemp CBD products for her clients under her Jannabis Wellness label.
