Get Ready For Our 25th Season!

We have been busy prepping for our 25th season, preparing all the marketing materials, securing vendors, reaching out to sponsors and creating more community-partnerships (pop-up market on Saturdays anyone? More info to come…). This year the market will feature four local veggie Massachusetts’s farms that farm organically without certification, Dick’s Market Garden, Moonlight Farm, Kelly’s Family Farm, and Little Brook Farm. Plus 30 weekly vendors and 60 total vendors rotating throughout the summer. Fresh fish from Roberto’s Seafood, grass-fed meat, chicken and eggs from Shady Pine Farm, organic small batch mushrooms every week from our new vendor Mycoterra Farm.  Each week you can find pasta/ravioli from Deano’s Pasta and  Seven Hills Pasta Co, and baked goods from The Bread ShopPure Pastry, the Pop-Over Lady, and once a month Sweet Spot Bakery will join us. 100% allergen free meals and goodies from Jennifer Lee’s Bakery every other week. New vendor Smith’s Country Cheese, will be at the market once a month, and maple syrup from Ackermann Maple Farm in VT 2-3 times a month.  Muddy River Herbals will join us at the end of June with her teas, mocktails and salves. For your pets we have weekly, fresh and locally made dog treats and pet food from  Laszlo Family Farm,  and new this year and weekly is Beverly Bees highlighting local honey and amazing beeswax candles. If you were at Healthy Melrose a few weeks ago, you may have tried our newest prepared food vendor,  Koshari Mama, who was doling out some vegan lentil yumminess. Mr. Tamole will be there every week with his sweet and savory ‘street’ tamales. La Qchara will be there every week as well with street tacos and/crepes.  City Compost will be providing all the composting this summer and can speak with people about their take-away composting services. Plus you can find soaps, crafts, and creative gifts from local artisans.  Each week we’ll have live music from 3:30-5:30 from local area artists-all supported by Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts and the Melrose Cultural Council.  And once a month you can sample food from our vendors created by Suman Shah from, Fork on a Road. Her creative and tasty concoctions can easily be replicated at home. Barre & Soul will offer a free yoga class once a month from 5-6pm. And Joy Fay from Joy Yoga will be teaching a kids yoga class as well at the park several times throughout the summer.

For our SNAP shoppers, we will be back to offering a $10 SNAP match at the Market Table. Thank you to Melrose Bank for their generous contribution supporting our SNAP match program.

Also at the Market Table, we are launching our Friends of the Market program, where you can support us with a one-time seasonal donation of $25, $50 or $100. We have plenty of market swag that all goes back to supporting the farmers’ market and our various activities!

See you on June 7th at Bowden Park/Cedar Park Station!
