Feeling inspired by the Urban Farms Tour? Want to learn more about raising your own chickens? Khrysti Smith from Yardbirds Backyard Chickens will be at the market this week from 4:30 to 6:30 to help with nearly anything and everything backyard-chicken-related.
This week we have three farms bringing fresh, local, just picked fruits and vegetables! Come fill your bags with cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, onions, broccoli, peas, radishes and more. Then pick up some bagels, cheese, pasta, eggs, granola, bread and everything else you need to fill your pantry and fridge.
While you shop listen to music from Marilyn Kirby. Marilyn opened for Cream in Cambridge in the late 60’s. She had music videos in the beginning days of the real MTV, circa NYC St. Mark’s Place. She plays a beat up old Telecaster that has “that sound” ala Keith Richards on the Raindogs album by Tom Waits. Her songwriting is honest. She tells a story, she rocks it out and belts it out with a beautiful voice.
