Cooking Demonstration: Sulfur Beans

The recipe calls for sulfur beans, which is a mild light colored bean.  If you don’t have sulfer beans, you can substitute any white bean.

  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped fine
  • 1 med. carrot, chopped fine
  • 2 c. cooked sulfer beans
  • Cluck Yum spice from Bondat Foods
  • grated cheese


  1. Saute oil and veggies until soft. Add spice
  2. Add beans and 1/2 c. water. Cook until beans are soft and creamy, adding more water as needed
  3. Season with salt to taste
  4. Serve on toast/bread. Sprinkle with cheese
